Adventures in Felting and modular knitting

I'm having a play day today! Sometimes knitting is almost too much fun :-)

It's my day off, and I should be putting major dents into the larger and time-sensitive projects that consume sections of my stash. Instead, I'm creating a holiday scarf and with Blue Sky Alpaca's 100% alpaca sport wt. yarn. I'm knitting it length-wise, on large needles, and will felt it with bottle caps when I'm done. we'll see...
if I can find a friend with a digital camera, I'll post a pic. when I'm done....

I am knitting with Taos from Crystal Palace for the first time and love it. I have decided to use modular knitting techniques and create a felted bag. I just finished the base and it looks amazing. I'm like a little kid- the more I knit the more ampted I get!

I'm also still plugging away at my Christmas presents- which will remain nameless in case those parties are reading this... :-)
(my brother is coming home to visit for Christmas in November instead of December...)
